While there is much coverage in the press about criticisms of WikiLeaks, it is also interesting to see who steps up and says something in favor of WikiLeaks.

I will not list all the crackpots that jump every bandwagon, and those people driven by 100% anti-americanism (or rather “anti-Us-ism”) but rather people and institutions that generally have a good standing with the general public - whatever that may be in our days.

• Of course, the newspapers and magazines that cooperate with WikiLeaks: The Guardian (UK), El País (Spain), Der Spiegel (Germany), The New York Times (USA), Le Monde (France)
• Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, president of Brazil
• Associated Press, Los Angeles Times, and the National Newspaper Publishers Association donated legal support to WikiLeaks.
• Daniel Ellsberg
• Amnesty International awarded WikiLeaks their UK Media Award for exposing “extra judicial killings and disappearances” in Kenya.
• The Economist gave their “New Media Award” to WikiLeaks in 2008.
